MY HDD Led is ALWAYS ON...URGENT !

i got this asus p4SGL all in one board. 256mb ddr ram 400w case 40 gig harddisk
everything works except that the HDD led is on all the time. I tried swapping it around and it is still the same. The power led is also on all the time so that means there i didn't connect it wrong. So please help...thanks

Would this be the actual LED on the drive or the one on the outside of the case. it sounds like the connection between the motherboard and Hard disk access LED in front is wrong.
Tha fact that the system works indicates the hard disk is ok.
