Doing absolutely nothing to the computer or the monitor, while away from the computer the monitor was black and no power light on. Replugged in all cords. Rebooted machine and it powered up but no monitor.
Simple test. Leave the monitor connected and see if pressing the monitor adjustment control buttons brings up the On Screen Adjustment display. If you cannot even get that to pop up then there's a good chance the monitor's internal powersupply has failed. If you can get OSD then I would be looking at the PC graphics adaptor next.
