MY computer wont POST. please help

this is what happened at first. i took out my cpu and run the computer without the cpu by accident. after that my computer dont POST anymore. and then i broke my cpu for putting out and on over and over again to see what happened.
now, i bought a new amd MB and amd cpu. i plug it into my computer but it stil wont POST. i resetted my cmos but it still wont post.... the only time it POST is to get to the BIO screen. i do not know what i suppose to change in there. now i resetted my cmos, what do i need to do?

Double, no triple check that the heatsink is correctly fitted to the cpu. Make sure that the cutout end of the heatsink corresponds to the raised part of the socket. Ensure that the cooling fan is plugged in and operating correctly.
After you reset the cmos, you will need to adjust the date and time. Also have a look that all of your drives are correctly identified.

Install nothing but RAM, CPU, videocard and internal speaker to your motherboard. Do you hear any beeps? Are you sure your videocard and ram are not defective? Post more information (brand and type) about motherboard and cpu, it might help more.
