Specs: Windows XP
Hi, my computer will not boot from cd-rom,
I reset my BIOS to boot from the cd first, and then when my computer starts, it says "booting from adapi or cd-rom" then very quickly it flashes "failure" beside it and it continues loading windows as usual...what am I doing wrong?

I have no clue what the problem is. If the CD-R is not a bootable disc your PC will not boot to it.

Yes, since I no longer had mine, my brother gave me the one he had used.

Try making another copy. Burn it at a lower speed.

Thanks I will try that, if that doesn't work should I just get a new disk?

You could see if it boots up in another PC. If it does then the problem is likely with your cdrom. If it doesn't then the problem is with the disk.
