My computer screen is constantly grey tinted

Specs: Windows 8
My family recently went on vacation and before this my laptop worked fine. The day before we left to go back home i checked my laptop for the first time, again, it worked fine. I finally checked i again today (we're home how) and the colors are all distorted. They look tinted with grey, especially colors that aren't super prominent. Where the grey is there is also what looks like static. My only theory on how this happened is that the graphics card got damaged in the heat during the drive back. The drive their we went to pick up my step-dad and from then on used his truck. on the drive back we went from truck to car-thats-been-sitting-in-direct-sunlight-for-four-days. Nothing else is damaged, and i'm actually posting this using the laptop. It runs the same as before, the color is mostly just grey. I should also add that the problem is CONSTANT. I've read about issues like this where it's usually during game-play, but my computer is having the problem constantly. Can anyone help me to fix this please?

I doubt sunlight/heat would damage the graphics chip on a laptop that's powered off. Try uninstalling then reinstalling the graphics drivers.
