Hi!
I have been having this restart problem for a long time. I changed anti viruses, spywares, registry cleaners tons of times. Then I read about the part where you right click My computer>Manage>System tools>Event Viewer>System . I noticed that whenever it restarted, there were two errors:
1- The GeneLink File Transfer Driver service failed to start due to the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled device associated with it.
2- The SECURITY DEVICE service failed due to the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled device associated with it.

I now realize the the restarts started after I used GeneLink to transfer some file to my computer. I uninstalled it then reinstall the uninstall but still it doesn't work.
It is not easy to work in this kind of situation. It has now been two days that I try to download a 15hours file but can't because it restarts after four hours.
I'm going crazy; HELP!!!!!

I would run a System Restore to a time before you installed the software.

Life's more painless for the brainless.

One thing you could try would be to download CCleaner and run the registry cleaner module. That may cleanup whatever issues you are having.

Did you uninstall the Genelink program?

Yes I uninstalled Genelink but the problems continued so I downloaded an update but nothing changed so I removed it too. I already have CCleaner for a while now. I'll check to see if there is a new one. I have got Wash n Go hoping that it would help, but it didn't.
It gave me a blue screen with a message yesterday: BAD POOL HEADER. What that means?
