my computer is loosing time

Specs: Windows XP, 2.2GB/ 256MB
after putting my computer down for about a year, after plugging it in and turning it on i realised it wasn't keeping the system time. after changing the CMOS battery the same thing keeps happening.

You can set up your system (Windows) to continually sync your time with time servers on the internet to overcome a possible defect in the hardware chip that maintains real time on the motherboard.
