Specs: Windows XP home, 2 gb
my computer is average and i had to reformat because of malware. now that i have installed again whenever i open something it is at 100% performance, and it freezes for about 10 seconds when i press keys
my specs are as follows
microsoft windows Xp
home edition
version 2002
service pack 2
pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2.99 GHz, 2.00 GB of ram
512 mb of graphics
500 gb of space

any help would be appreciated

When u have multiple partitions and u are infected then u decide to format os partition(install new os), if by accident u double click other partitions u are infected again. Download ms security essentials, install and update it then scan the whole system. Also u can use task manager or process explorer to see which process use more cpu. Did u remember to install all necessary drivers(chipset, audio, video etc)?
