I recently purchased a dell montior on Ebay. When I hooked it up it mostly worked. I checked the monitor drivers and the computer is simply recognizing it as a standard monitor type and is not recognizing it as a dell monitor. There is no monitor driver loaded and I can't seem to update the driver even when I get the supposed correct one from dell.

Does the monitor work at the resolution you want? If so, you do not need drivers. Just don't fool with the vertical refresh rate, unless you know for sure that the monitor can handle it. also, if it is an lcd, refresh rate should be set to 60Hz. Dodger88
