If I were you I would start by pulling my PC apart, clean every component (RAM, Heat Sinks, Fans, Graphics Card, the works). If you don't have a blower, then use a fine haired paint brush. Put your PC back together and make sure that everything is connected properly.
- Switch PC back on and check if the cleaning helped. If not;
- Try re-installing Windows. A fresh install of windows normally sorts 99% of your problems out.

Nothing at all shows on the screen--not even the posting information or logo?

Did anything happen to it or did you make any changes between the last time it worked OK and the first time it didn't?

When you start it up do you hear any beeps?

@ Sam,

Please ignore response #1. You haven't supplied any system specs or any details about your problem that would suggest a complete teardown or reinstall is necessary. Please supply your complete system specs & a detailed description of the problem. Your current question is like walking to into an auto repair shop & saying "my car won't start, what's wrong?", without even teliing the mechanic the year/make/model of the car.

@ RoelandBeukes,

I don't know why you would recommend a complete PC teardown or reinstallation of Windows without having any details about the problem? What if monitor is bad? Please wait until the OP supplies useful info before offering such extreme recommendations.
