Comment:
When ever i insert a certain brand od CD-R in my CD-ROM i hear a spink "click" spin "click". It works fine with all Sony or Verbatim CD-R's and CD-RW's but any other kind like Imation or ProMedia i hear the "clicking" but it will read it in my outboard CD writer is there something i can download or do to make my CD-ROM read these cd's because it reads faster then my CD-ROM and i need it so i can play games and such

it's not really much you can do. NOt all CD-Rom can read all Cd's. Sony and Verbatem are brand and good quality Cd, hence you can read them better. I guess others are just not that good. Maybe your CD-rom is selective on what dye that it can read. Try update firmware or drier see if it helps.

If the defective discs are very thin(ie you can see a lot of light coming through) you can try spraypainting the shiny side to increase the opacity of the media. This works, honest.
But the best solution would be to try and update the firmware and buy better media in the future.
