my Asus laptop is burning chargers

hi guys/girls,

I have an Asus laptop I have been in love with for about 2+ years now with things going fine. Yesterday though, I was sitting on my bed using my laptop and noticed a burning smell. I took the charger (a universal charger since the original has gone out) out of the back and noticed a slight burn mark on the part where the charger inserts into the computer. I figured the charger was probably going out & bought a brand new one just a couple of hours ago. I plugged it in & it IS charging, but I immediately noticed the burning smell again and ANOTHER burn mark on this brand new charger after a few minutes. What is wrong with my laptop & what is the easiest/cheapest way to fix this? I'm in college, so I ***desperately*** need this thing to be fixed quickly. HELP PLEASE?!

Must not be the chargers since they both do the same thing. The fault likely is with your battery or the charging circuitry between the charger jack and the battery. Having it be the battery would be the lessor of two evils.

How about those Packers Steelers!
