|Bios's read a small flash eeprom on the drive that is used to populate bios. It will populate the bios screen on boot as part of eide or sata tasks. The bios is usually set to auto but I guess it may have been set to some user. Many bios' have a way to re-read the drive to get it correctly . Try that.|
For the most part you'd have to find a eeprom burning software and you'd have to know the memory region to flash. Usually only factory's have that.
