Hi! I have a 600 III EP plus Mustek scanner. The light in the scanner remains in the middle of it, because of an improperly shut down and now I don´t know how to get it to its intial position...

Have you tried to disconnect the power from it and then reconnect. If you have and it still remains in the center or near then you may have a broke drive belt or a defective drive motor. You can take the cover off and inspect it and if it is broke it would probably be cheaper to by a new one than fix that one. Look for anything that has popped off like the belt from a sprocket.

Evening, I had a similiar problem with my Visioneer scanner. I took it apart and loosened the screws holding the motor in place and then manually moved the scan carraige back to it's normal position. Then tightened the motor screws down. The real problem was that I did not install the driver or scanner correctly as per the exact instructions for XP. Hope this helps, XDon
