mum installed a new d-link router and kappersky went mad!!!

Specs: Windows Vista
relevant knowledge hidden in d-link hardware

going through the logs of kappersky it appears as soon as the new router is installed relevant knowedge appears and is immiediately blocked by kappersky. weirder still is that router homepage under statistics states that a xmas tree scan attack is in progress. it also states that some of the attacks originate from ip and mac address of the router. most smart phones, more modern pc's will not connect to the wifi of the d-link. even though the devices can detect it, they will not connect to it. has anyone else had problems with d-link, since what it is looking for exact and targeted, a few examples are pcw (pc world), curries/dixons and the royal mail.

Was this router purchased new from a reputable dealer? Was it an unopened box?
Have you tried resetting the router's defaults (see manual)?

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
