I apologise if this kind of message has been posted before.
I had to get a new computer recently (stuck with HP of course) because of major Win corruption.
The old computer had an ATI radion 9200 graphics card (with a TV out) but the new computer came with a more powerful nvidia (without a TV out).
Is it possible to use both cards (I have available PCI slots), the nvidia for general use and the ATI when i want to use the TV instead of a monitor OR is it impossible to simply switch between cards.

I think it depends upon your bios. If the bios lets you switch adapters, you would need to reboot each time you switch.
I don't think there is any way to do it in windows.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

"....If the bios lets you switch adapters,..."
If you would be using a 9200 PCI card and an AGP Nvidia card, you can switch which one is used in your bios Setup by specifying Intialize video first: PCI , or similar, for the 9200, or Intialize video first: AGP , or similar, for the N-videa card.
If the N-videa video is onboard, it is probably AGP as well, and you can probably do the same thing in that case.If the cards are the same brand, or the card and the onboard video are the same brand, the drivers for many recent makes/models allow you to choose one or the other video in Windows itself - e.g. in Display - Settings or in Display - Settings - Advanced somewhere.
You may also be able to do that with certain models of different brands but I doubt it.
