running windows 7 wondering why my disk player will not run cd but will run dvd when this is suppose to be a multidrive
There are 2 lasers in the combination drive. The CD laser may have gone out. Try a lens cleaning kit. Does the drive show as the correct model in Device manager?
They are cheap, replace the multi player. Cleaning does work once in awhile, but new units are not very expensive.
