Ok I have updated my DVD Burners firmware from the MSI site to give my DVD Burner better read/write performace, it's done that and it much faster

My problems is whenever I burn a DVD/CD-R/RW nero will burn to 100% but not finalize, it keep on finalizing it for ages and ages, yet if I shut the PC down using the power button and reboot, the DVD/CD-R/RW has burnt without a problem and has finalized

If I use a crappy 3rd part utility or use Easy CD Creator 6 and burn a CD it burn perfectly and finalizes it normally to all types of DVD's or CD's

Use Nero and it doesn't finalize properly again

I have reintalled on top of Nero and it didn't fix the problem

I don't know now if the Firmware Upgrade has messed up my DVD Writer or Nero is not compatible at the moment with the latest firmware update

I am using Nero 6 Ultra with the latest version, version 23

Please help me

Here is the firmware update page

Trouble is I have been using Nero and Easy CD together for months and months and they love each other on my PC

This problem has only happened since I upgraded my DVD Burner firmware

Have contacted Nero so will see what they say

And yep I use XP Pro with

Athlon XP 2400+ ( 2.03GHZ )
1,536MB ( 1.5GB ) DDR PC2100
80GB WD
16GB Maxtor
MSI DVD Burner
Liteon CD-RW

And lots more : )

Thanks again
