I have the MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro, but it does not have any force feedback on WinXP, but it did back when i still had Win98, so WTF, can someone help me out here? thanks alot. btw there are no settings in Control Panel->Game Controllers that have anything to do with the force feedback, only calibration and etc.
Thank you for your help. ----------------------- Pentium 4 - 3.06GHz 512 DDR Ram Radeon X850 XT WinXP Home

Windows XP comes with USB drivers for the Force Feedback by default. These are adequate for using the device in most games, including Force Feedback.
You can test if Force Feedback is working by simply grasping the joystick and trying to move it and you will feel the resistance. If you just grasp the joystick between thumb and forefinger you will feel the difference.
If you want the Forces Feedback test application you have to install the software that came on the CD, although this is unnecessary to get the functions.
