Hello,

I have a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer USB. As many users, I have the same problem - it occured after a year of usage.

The mouse turns on/off randomly. This is the so called "power cuts". Imagine, I browse the web, my mouse dissapears and then it appears again - a power cut/interrupt for about 4 sec. It is like the device is removed and then found again.

Is there any cure for this??

PS.

I tried the mouse on 3 different systems, with 3 different motherboards and configuration - always the same problem.!

I have the exact same problem. I took the mouse apart and I carn't see anthing broke although if i pull the cable around a bit it seems to do somthing so maby soldering the cable onto the actuall circit board rather than using the little plug inside it might help havn't tried it though. It might also be the wire inside the cable has broken from use.

Hi,

I've had this problem also with a MS mouse..

It turned out to be the actual cable.....
the cable they use isn't upto the job IMO,
and even normal home use, it fractures inside
and causes these problems !!!

Would be nice if we could buy a new cable
rather than a new mouse... as they arn't
cheap !

Huey
