Would anybody out there know if you can receive from (listen to) an MP3 player on a Bluetooth CELL PHONE MONAURAL wireless receiver by using a Universal Transmitter plugged into the MP3’s audio output jack? (Wireless STEREO headphones are not necessary for listening to audiobooks.)

As far as I know, no phone can actually be used as a "headset" itself, there are adapters to output audio via bluetooth from a stereo jack input but the phone just will not accept the incoming audio and play it, as far as I know. I will try it out with mine now just to confirm this but i'm almost certain this is so.

I have just tested this, the transmitter that connects to the mp3 player stereo jack does not transmit any sort of ID in an open form atleast even when in pairing mode and as far as i can see it simple searches for compatible devices that are broadcasting a headset ID. I'm sorry to say but I can not see or think of any possible work-around for this.
