Do you mean your going to put a new motherboard in your computer? I mean, I suppose you can say that your moving your case, power supply, memory, CPU, hard drive, and CDROM to a new motherboard, but most people just say they are replacing (or upgrading) the computer's motherboard. Yes, providing the CPU and memory will work on the new motherboard, you can move everything to the new motherboard. You will have to re-install the Operating System as if you have a new computer. Don't just connect the current hard drive to the new motherboard and try and boot up the computer.

Yes, as long as the new motherboard has the same chip set.

Of course it's possible but the way you worded the question makes me wonder....

"i have a quad core Q6600 32bit"

It's 64-bit, not 32-bit.

"Yes, as long as the new motherboard has the same chip set"

It does NOT have to be the same chipset. It just has to be an LGA775 mboard that supports Q6600 CPUs. If you do get a board based on the same chipset, you *may* get away with not having to reinstall Vista. Otherwise, Vista will definitely have to be reinstalled after the board swap.
