Movie to DVD-R problem

Hi, Well, my problem is this: When I burn a movie with my Pioneer DVR-A06, movie plays normally for about 12 to 15 minutes and then it starts “freezing” some frames until it stops! This happens when I try to play the disk in 3 of my friend’s computers, also in my Philips portable DVD player. The weirdest thing is that the same disk plays normally in my computer (both drives) and also plays normally in a Sony portable DVD player!! When I burn the same movie in a DVD-RW, it plays normally in all players and computers!!!!
