hi,
the problem is that the movie run on my DVD drive slowly, means stop at some intervals , DVD drive is new . there is only 8 MB video memory in motherboard. is this the problem due to video memory or Celeron Processor. when i run movie , processor usage is 100% , i see it in task manager. should i buy a Pentium processor or upgrade video mamory ?

You have a weak CPU, not enough system RAM, & apparently not enough video RAM. You can probably get by with the CPU, but you should add another 256MB RAM & a "real" video card. You don't necessarily have to spend a lot for a card...just about anything is better than 8MB onboard graphics. But you'll have to determine whether your motherboard has an AGP slot or not.

Nah. Processor shouldn't be a problem. I've got an old P2-300 box that will easily play DVDs, even under WMP 10.
Make sure that DMA mode is enabled for your DVD drive. Go to the device manager, and expand IDE/ATAPI controllers. Select the IDE channel your drive is connected to; usually the second channel, and make sure that "DMA Mode, if Available" is selected for all of your optical drives.
DMA mode allows the drive to channel data directly to your RAM, so that the CPU doesn't have to 'inspect' each little byte.
My Super P3:
Pentium III-S 1.4GHz @ 1.58GHz, 512K L2
X800XT All-in-wonder, overclocked to 580/600.
250GB HD
2 gigs of PC2100 RAM
QDI Advance 12 mobo, this baby rocks!
SB Audigy 2
