i purchased toshiba notebook and i have my logitech mouse w/ wheel hooked up but i noticed it doesn't "behave properly". for example, it doesn't select things, it opens files/application when i click on it once (as a opposed to double clicking...I have it set up this way). i also can't click and drag either. when i go into the mouse properties I try changing the double-click speed...but it doesn't take. when i go back it's at the same setting.

i had problem with earlier w/ the cursor jumping all over the place but when i put adjusted the sensitivity settings to the lowest, that problem went away.

i tried downloading the most current driver for my mouse but can't find it.

any ideas?

It might just be conflicting with the built-in touchpad/point. Try disabling this in Windows & see if that makes a difference - it's not a good idea as a permanent solution as you may need the touch pad in an emergency, but at least it will narrow down the problem. You could then try downloading the up to date drivers for the touchpad as this may cure any conflict which does appear.
