Comment:
periods of time, for only a few seconds (sometimes forever and I'll have to restart) after I regain control, the computer will beep. It is driving me crazy, I have PCcillin installed, if that information will help. My video card is an ATI Radeon X1950 pro. Please Help

is the keyboard and mouse wireless?
try them on another pc to see if they are good working devices.
try a known good working keybd and mse on the pc you are having a problem with.
if you think that the video card is having a problem then try reseating the card
and or
uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them for the video card
maby the chipset on the mainbd needs a firmware update

sorry about the message above it must've gotten cut off. I exchanged the keyboard and mouse with another keyboard and mouse, still didn't work. and about mentioning PCcillin and the video card, I have had trouble with them both in the past, and I thought they might be the problem again. but I don't know for sure

SORRY I HAVENT BEEN CHECKING THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS
TRY CHECKING YOUR VIRT MEM SETINGS
OR TO SEE IF YOUR HDD MAY NEED DEFRAG
MEMORY CAN EFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF YOUR PC AND MAKE IT APEAR THAT THERE IS A PROB WITH YOUR MOUSE AND KEYBD
