Comment:

Where would I look to determine what the brand or type of motherboard is in my computer.

This computer is old--the motherboard is dead and I am I may try to get it running again if I can buy an inexpensive motherboard

It has a Pentium 100 mhz with a Sis chipset 5511 5512 5513.

Thanks

You have an AT type MBoard and case/powersupply. Spending any money on upgrading that would be a waste. If you are on a budget, look at building a system based on an AMD processor/MB. Try going to Mwave.com and looking at their barebones systems. Read what is included to determine what, if anything can be re-used from your old machine. Possible to re-use monitor, floppy, harddrive, CDrom, and even mouse and keyboard, using an adapter for the keyboard. Newegg.com is another good site.
