Hi
My PSU blew last week and took the motherboard with it. I have replaced the PSU and motherboard and the PC will now start up and detect all my drives at the start but then the screen just goes onto a black screen with just a white cursor in the top left for a few seconds then it restarts and does the same again. I have been told it may be because my new MB has different chipset drivers to my old one. If this is my prob, how can this be solved without reinstalling my OS?

The eMachine comes with a pre-installed XP which is tied to the hardware as is the CoA. It is time to buy another copy of XP, as you have drastically altered the PC from when Windows was registered.
