CPU/Ram: Athlon xp 2000+ ddr 512

hello, i just got a new motherboard gigabyte ga-7N400L. when i start or restart my computer there is a sound like it restarts threee times in a raw. it's like after i press reset he restarts and restarts and restarts. and then everything works ok.
can someone help me?

Hi arik:
This is guessing on my part, try disconnecting the reset button cable at motherboard, might be a bad switch. Another thing is to try a different keyboard, maybe some strange key combo happening to cause restart. Last thing is if you have a power supply designed for a P4\Athlon cpu motherboard, if using an older power supply maybe not getting proper power to motherboard.

Again these are guesses, good luck.
