I have a problem my motherboard doesnt work, it will not beep at all. here is my story.

I have this extra harddrive and on it was another os which i just simply deleted all the files afew months ago. Recently i was wondering why it said 9gb used, i found out it was from hidden system files, so i decided to delete those and then when i tried to recycle after recycling before i got this strange error about not being able to delete from disk or something. so i was like maybe if i disconnect my harddrive i could be able to recycle the bin and get rid of the error which i believe was caused by when i deleted the file systems and it had a recycling bin and that conflicted with the other harddrive but anyways aside of what i think was wrong. i powered off and took off the extra harddrive and powered on. i got a no signal from my monitor and no beeps. i am like o maybe it was because i never put the jumper to the normal state so i switched the jumper to the primary or something state and tried to power up and nothing happens. The computer turns on and the fan goes but no video out no beeps no nothing. It is very strange.

my pc specs
amd athlon xp 2400+
esc socket a mainboard k7s5a pro
512mb sd pc133
256mb sd pc133
40 gb 5200rpm (working os)
40 gb 7200rpm (extra hd)
msi nvidia geforce 4 ti4200 128ddr vivo

i got everything back in march and i never had any problems. I leave my pc on daily and shut it down during the night which is about 8 - 12 hours. after i deleted the files from the extra harddrive the pc froze 2 times, once during running window blinds which i just installed the same day and another while trying to exit a game ( i dont recall) other than that my pc is fine ... i mean was :-/.

any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Try replacing your RAM with Know good and double check all connections to ensure nothing is loose. If you have to disconnect everything and put it back together.

Is it possible that your driveletters changed after you formated the second drive or do you try to start software that was installed on the formated drive ???
That may cause the windows crashes.

But that the system doesn't POST anymore has other reason. Recheck the jumper on the remaining drive. It has to be set to master but some drives (especially Western Digital) have a special master setting if they are the only drive on the ide cable.
If you have a 80pin cable (normally has one blue connector) make sure the harddrive is set to that last connector on the cable.

Otherwise check all power connectors, especially the one on the mainboard. They may have become loose as you removed the harddrive. Also check if the graphic card still fits properly.
And even if it sounds weird you may have a problem with you power supply. A friend had the same problems with the computer seeming to boot but no monitor signal. In his case it was a broken cable on the mainboard power connector!

Hope that helps!
