motherboard No disk hard drive ERROR

Specs: Windows 7, x4 Phenom 955 Black Editon
i just installed a new motherboard from my old a1540n PC i upgraded the motherboard just fine and the ram and processor , but im a getting a "Disk read error" now what do i do the HDD was working fine with my other motherboard?

My motherboard is a : Msi 880GM-e43

it boots up i can get to BIOs do i need to format my drive or anything

You need to supply more details on what and why you are doing. Is the computer a brand name pre-assembled computer that you have started with?

What was the reason for the motherboard replacement?

Are you using any adapters on the hard drive?

When are you seeing the Disk read error?

You may need to re-install Windows 7 or at least perform a repair. You may also need to supply hardware drivers for components on the new motherboard.

Do you have the hard drive set as the first hard drive to boot to?
