Hi,
I am trying to locate a manual for a Triton F motherboard BIOS is a AMI HiFlex BIOS
I believe the bios id is as followed:
51-0000-001223-00111111-101094-Triton-FI'm having a hard time locating it. I can not use the id utility to identify the motherboard exactly because the cmos battery is low. I need the manual to locate the jumpers so that I can put a (9V looking) cmos battery on the motherboard. I did not find it on www.motherboards.org or AMI.com ...??? Please Help Me Out.
thanks

Are you referring to a Dallas realtime clock battery? Black rectangular? About the size of a 9v? They're fairly expensive if you can even find one...probably about $25.
You need to know the model number to find your manual. I did a quick search & it may be a BioStar 8500TAC.

thanks for the responses...
I did not see a model number, serial nothing... All I've got to go on is the chipset and the bios id.Yes, that the name for it (Dallas realtime clock batter). I've already got one... I just need to know where to put it on this motherboard. I've looked and from what I can see, the motherboard does not seem to indicate where to hook this battery on the motherboard. :O)

You already have a battery? Then just pull the old one & replace it with the new one...or isn't there one on it?
Check this Biostar board out & see if it's the same as your's...the battery is to the left in the picture, between the upper ISA slot & lower PCI slot.

Sorry, my board doesn't have a regular cmos battery (I need one of those 9v battery looking ones) They are suppose to just hook on to the motherboard via some jumpers. But like I said I don't know where to hook it up at on the motherboard. :O)

Reread response #2, 3 & 4. I asked if it was a Dallas realtime clock battery...you said yes, "I've already got one". Then I told you where it goes on the motherboard & that you may have to remove the old one 1st. If the one on your board has already been removed, look for a rectangular socket between the uppermost ISA slot & the lower PCI slot, next to the BIOS chip. I can't explain myself any better. I also posted a site that shows a picture of your motherboard! That's the best I can do...I can't understand why you can't find it?? Maybe it says "ODIN" on the old battery instead of "DALLAS" & that's throwing you off???
