Hello everyone,
My computer's power supply was recently fried, as in a piece of the power supply burned and left the fuse intact. I replace my old power supply (400w codegen) with a thermatake 430w powersupply. Now nothing shows up on the monitor. The cpu fan runs as well as the other components. The ethernet port light doesn't light up on the back as well as on the router. Is my motherboard fried or is my gpu fried? What should i do?

430w thermatake psu
Pentium D 820 2.8ghz
G. Skill 2gb DDR2 667 PC2-3200
Nvidia 6800xt
ECS C-19a mobo nforce4

Could test the PSU using any of the good web pages how-to's just to be sure.

Recheck all connections.

Re-seat all boards and make a REAL good visual check.

Try monitor in MB video if it has one.

Reset bios according to the instructions !exactly!. Be sure to watch for move jumper back before you power on kind of statement.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

One more thing you say your psu burnt, depending on how much it burnt, you may wana check if anything fell behond the motherboard maybe a small piece of metal which could be shorting out the motherboard, im not sure though, but can be possible.
