Specs: Windows 7, p4 512 MB
when i switch on my computer nothing comes on my screen. none of my LED glows . The southbridge get very hot . is it a motherboard problem or power supply problem. earlier my HDD LED glows and power LED does not glows(but nothing gets displayed on the monitor screen) but now even the HDD LED does not glows. Also the heatsink of northbridge was not fixed as clips attaching heatsink to the motherboard were damaged and there has been no heatsink on the norhtbridge for 5 months but PC was running fine during this period .

Why would you run your system for 5 months without the chipset heatsink attached? And how did it get broken? They don't just fall off on their own so you must have been messing with it & broke the clips. You should have come up with a way to reattach it a LONG time ago. If your board is fried, you have no one to blame but yourself.
