no fancy moves needed. just remove the bat, purchase another one, and replace. it's just like changing a wristwatch battery.

You show a 400mhz system. It is possible that your board is old enough to have one of the older setups where they had a blue plastic wrap around a shorter version of a AA battery or something similar looking connected to the mother board with a wire and small white connector. This is most likely not the case however so look first for the 'watch battery' inserted into a flat socket on the mother board.

Document your CMOS settings B/4 you remove your old battery. I've read that if you replace the battery fast enough , you may retain the settings , however to play it safe I would write down all of the settings frist !
