Bios settings are returned to default.

Battery is in backwards.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Start by telling us why you removed the battery. I assume it was to reset the BIOS, but why?

FYI, you do not have to leave the battery out for 20 mins or even 20 seconds for that matter. As long as you unplug the power cord 1st, the BIOS will reset the instant the battery is removed.
