I have this Asus A7V266-E that just keeps beeping one big long Beep that doesn't stop!
And it crashes during post!
I suspect the previous owner tried to flash it and went wrong!
I can't do the hot swap trick to flash the bios on another board because it is a soldered chip!
I don't want to desolder it unless i have to!
So I thought about the Boot Block function!
I've read some articles that the A7V boards only used the boot block if the BIOS is completly corrupted wich is not the case!
So!
Anyway to get the boot block working?

I'm just a shadow of my former self!

Do you get any display on the screen at all? Usually, a single repeating beep = bad RAM

Yes! I have display! It crashes during post!
It starts the long beep after the detecting plug and play devices! I can't even get into BIOS Setup. I'm pretty sure the BIOS is corrupted! Thats why I want to try the boot block!

I'm just a shadow of my former self!
