Mother sparked but still works?

Hello my motherboard sparked..... And i was wondering if i should still use it even know metal is melted by the transitor. Even in the long run wouldnt u be afriad of it messing up ur ram and etc.......It was all caused my a faulty switch when that new xase arrived????So tell me what i should do....i cant RMA cuz its 2 years old....lol So do i keep on useing it or just get rid of it...."in case"!!!!! Thanks all reply are welcomed!!!

Wow. Ummmmm, I woud have to say get rid of it, unless it works. If the metal is melted as you said, that might be a problem. Who knows, electrical contacts could be broken as a result. Solder joints could also be lose permitting open circuits. But if it is working, why not. Any damage that is done is likely short term. In other words, things can't get much worse than they already are. Heck, one of my hard drives sparked and I'm still using it. It works good to. That probably isn't very bright of me, but the gear is a few years old anyways. If it were me, and I was you, I would probably try to squeeze as much life out of the board as I could, providing everything works, otherwise,
junk it. Hope I helped!
