Will i see a big difference in performance. I plan to put a amd athlon xp 2500 333fsb barton core cpu and 768 pc 2100 266 mhz ddr ram. I thank you in advanced.

Hey, both motherboards are great. I have the A7V8X, and it rocks. Performance wise, you won't see a difference between the A7V8X and A7N8X. On a benchmark, just a tad difference (the A7N8X will be a little more powerful). The A7N8X has onboard video also. So, if you don't need onboard video, which i would never use, and since most people get a fast AGP card, get the A7V8X, because it will be a little cheaper. Otherwise, get the A7N8X. - Zack

actually the A7N8X (the mobo i got) doesnt have onboard video.. and its considerably better ...b/c of its 400 fsb support, nforce2 chipset, and supports more ram.

I'd highly recommend getting the A7N8X non deluxe board. It has 400FSB, dual channel ram, nforce2 chipset etc etc. You can find one on newegg.com for less than $90. The deluxe version is great if you want more features for the future, such as SATA on board, high quality sound and so on. The deluxe is about $30 more i think.

man u have CPU on fsb333 and rams operating at 266, hope this rams are good and will run on 333MHz, if not forget about A7V8X or your CPU will operate only on fsb266 so you won't have 2500+ but something much slower
vForce allows asynchronous fsb/ram speed but it's much slower than synchronous.
