I am not sure which monitor to get. Iv'e seen them both and there both really good, now I know CTR's are better for gaming but I need the extra room so. If you look at them the Samsung 712N is better but the Sony 19' has Xbrite technology so I don't know if that has the edge over the Samsung, What do you guys think, any of you have either of them?
Thanks,

Look at the warranty as well as the specs. My son has a Samsung 710n and he really likes it.

Yeah, if by better you mean cheaper.

An LCD can be used for gaming, you just need to get a good one. Heh.
