i have a asus p4sd-la mobo and i would like to know where i can get a small tool to monitor my mobo temps and cpu temps. also what is a good range for the cpu to operate and what is too high?

Go to the Asus web site and download Asus Probe. It's a free download and tells you all the stuff you requested.
