Specs: XP SP3, 4gb ram
Last night my Harddirve died, it dissapeared from my computer, all files were gone. I have 2 harddrives, one for files, another one for windows. Today I open up my pc and check the harddrives, nothing seemed wrong. I put them back in, connected and then, my computer turns on, the fans work, all the blue lights are lighen up but my monitor is like in sleep mode. Holding down the on button and unplugging power dont seem to work. The computer is 2 years old, but i have gtx 280 and 3.0ghz dual core. What is the problem, and how can I solve it?

Disconnect the hard drives and see if you can boot up into BIOS setup and get any display. I have had a drive failure that interfered so much the system would not boot.

If you can get a display without the drives connected then re-connect one at a time and test boot again.
If it proves not to be a faulty drive then the next suspect is powersupply.
