Comment:

After installing a new video card (Radeon 9600 NP) my monitor which I usually have set to turn off after 10 minutes of activity, goes to a "no signal" screen. Rebooting brings it back but it's annoying. I've reinstalled drivers, reseated card.
Any ideas?
Thx

Go into the control panel and adjust your settings for your monitor. It should have the Radeon logo icon. If that doesn't do it then you may want to go into power management and check out your settings in there. Otherwise you may need to visit the video card manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your video card, they may have a patch for it.

Make sure the memory is seated properly, a co-worker added memory and he could not get a monitor signal, took the memory out and back in and now his monitor works. Dont know why that happened, could be the memory is not seated right from moving computer or installing graphics card.
