Please help me, I turn on the computer and it wont come on the computer, Soon as I turn it on I hear a beep, I dont know if thats helpful or not. The fan is blowing slow, you can barely hear it, it moves but I can barely hear it. I took out the battery for a couple of minutes and put it back in and nothing happened. I dont know what to do, please help me!

Reply: (edit)The single beep you hear is good. It indicates the Power on Self Test (POST) has completed successfully. By this time you should have seen something on the monitor. This suggests to me that there is is something wrong with the monitor. Is there power going to the monitor and is the monitor switched on? Is there an orange or red light and is it flashing or steady? Try and check the monitor on a known good computer.

Reply: (edit)Its unlikely to be the motherboard or power supply. You wouldn't get the single bleep if it were. Is this beep a short one or a long one? If its a long beep it could indicate a memory problem. The only thing left is the video card. The only thing you can do is to replace it with a known good one and see what happens. Stuart
