Hello,

I got the Gateway FPD 24 inch Monitor for Christmas. I had to get the first one replaced cause the menu locked and just the other day the new ones USB Hub stoped working. I'v been using it for the past week with no problems but now it's listed as unknown device. Gateway dosn't have any drivers for it and they say they can't help me cause my computer is a custom. If i plug the device that was on the usb hub to my computer it works. I tried the monitor on a diffrent computer and it worked. I then tried it on another OS on my computer (I tried it on Windows X64 and Windows Home) and it did and said the same thing. I also tried wiping my X64 and it says unknown device still. Gateway thinks its a clonflict. I tried unconnecting anything I didnt need and it still did it.

Thanks!

It's the Gateway monitor usb connection.

Ask to have your ticket escalated to level 3 support.

I've had the same problem with my usb ports, and i've tried everything.. reinstalling usb drivers, deleteing usb drivers from the manager and reinstalling, even reinstalling windows..etc. nothing worked. finally only one thing worked for me:
turn off the pc, and power off the power supply if you have a switch on it and unplug the pc power cable, leave it disconnected for few mintues, this clears any residual power on the motherboard. then connect it and turn it back on... that's all i did and it worked for me

good luck
