I just got a new monitor in april (viewsonic e70fb) and just a few days ago, when i first turned it on the whole screen turned a shade of red. After it is on for 2 minutes it changes back to normal. This happenes everytime i turn on my computer after it has been off for a while. I am positive it is the monitor becase i just got a new graphics card (9800pro) and it is still happening. Someone please help me!

Obviously your six month warranty just expired! ;)
I agree that it sounds like a monitor problem, more specifically like something inside the monitor is going out. I think that it's time to talk to ViewSonic or the store that you bought the monitor from.

Check the cable and connector for a loose or broken pin or wire. Make sure it is plugged in good. Screen turning pink or red is a symptom of loose or broken wires in the cable connection.

I have the CRT monitor attached through a DVI-VGA adaptor to the video card. The attaching screws were slightly loose. I tightened them.
Since then the pinkish appearance is gone and the monitor is working normally. Hopefully this solved the problem.
