Monitor screen not responding after hibernate

Specs: Windows Xp Professional

Hey im new to this and i hope you can help me with this problem... well let get started

well yesterday the computer was working great no problem at all before i go to bed i always put a timer to put my pc to hibernate.. so this morninig i wake up turn pc on and the screen stays like if the pc is not even on.. the monitor dont say no connection it just plain black i check with another screen and still no fix so it must be my pc but i don't know how to fix it... Also i always use the timer never happen this is my first time so hope ya can help me


BTW: My Computer Built so if you Need Anything let me kno and i see if i can remember =)

If you are saying that two computers fail to get this monitor to function then we might conclude that the monitor is at fault. Re-check connections and might just for grins try a third computer. Boot to a live cd just be be sure it isn't the OS.

nah i took my Tower to another Monitor and it fail didnt show up =)

Hibernation is not really meant to be used on desktop computers. If you insist on trying to use it you may need to change some settings in the BIOS screens and possibly even reinstall Windows. I suggest that instead of using hibernate you just set your monitor to turn off after some amount of minutes and set tower to never.

Right now, just hit the reset button. The issue is the hard drive shutting down.

k now that i kno it not ment for it but now my screen dont show nothing i turn pc on and it just stay orange the color of the screen so how can i go in to the bios with out seeing anything and i check with another monitor to see if it just mine and it not it my pc so how can i fix that =)

what u mean rebooting it isnt that turning it off and on ??? the tower?
