Hi all,, I was just wondering,,,, Someone told me that some sort of radiation comes out of monitors. Is that true ? If so, what kind, i'm really worried cuz my cat loves to sleep on my monitor and I want to be sure that a fifth leg won't come out of him !!! Thanks a lot

Your cat would get less radiation exposure than someone staring at the screen. I wouldn't let a cat sleep on top of it though, as cat saliva can cause irrepairable damage to monitors.

Lots of monitors are certified for LOW RADIATION, so check for a sticker.
But the radiation released is less than a microwave and it is only alpha Rays (which are almost powerless, a rash is the WORST they can do).

If what was said about the radiation being alpha waves is true then there is hardly a worry. A sheet of paper can block that radiation and I'm guessing a fur coat works too.

Just imagine what the cathair is going to do to the insides of your monitor.
