Recently i started having problems with my monitor. Ill start the computer up and it start normally. then i turn on the monitor everything in fine for a few min and then the image dissappes, the monitor light stays green, but the image is just gone. if i turn the monitor back off and on it will show up for a few sec then go poof again, if i unplug the montior cable the screen will give the cable error for a moment then it goes poof. its drving me nuts, its not the cable, and its not the pc

Does this mean my lcd montior is going out? anyway to stop this from happening?

Try turning your monitor on before the computer itself. I had the same issue, this solved it.
