Hey guys,

I recently rebuilt a computer with a 22" acer LCD monitor (700:1, 5ms)

After installing windows xp pro 32 bit specifically I had a little white square (very small maybe the size of a pixel or two) in the top left corner of my DESKTOP. It did not appear in any other windows and when i changed the background color it seemed to stay.

I called it the 'unclickable space' because I could not right click on it and bring up the standard desktop menu. It seems to have gone away which is weird and I can click there fine now. Any ideas? Didnt seem like a dead pixel since it happened only on desktop.

Probably the video card. Next most likely would be the monitor.

That's a very weird problem!!!!! Since it only showed up on the desktop, I would tend to go with an OS problem. But I wouldn't bet any money on it. Video problems are normally caused by the video card, it's driver or the monitor.
